Q: How much is it to see the Optometrist?
A: So long as you have a Medicare card and the consultation type is covered by the government , it is Bulk Billed to Medicare so there is no cost to you. If you don’t have a Medicare card, the cost most often ranges from $35 to $71, depending on what is required in the optometric examination.
Q: Can I use my Health Fund card at your stores?
A: Our IbaHealth system allows major, and most minor, health funds to be swiped in store, saving you time and hassle by not needing to visit or contact your health fund. If however we cannot swipe your Health Fund, we will be able to issue you with a tax invoice, allowing you to claim from the Health Fund yourself.
Q: How much will my glasses cost?
A: The cost of glasses can vary depending on your wishes and requirements. Our lenses include UV coating, which is often as much as $40 more at other optometrists, and is mandatory in order to coincide with Australian regulations.
We generally have great package deals on offer, such as our 2 single vision pairs for $169, which ensures great value for you.
We also regularly have great offers on our designer range, so please ask in store for details, as this may vary from time to time.
Q: What is the warranty on my glasses?
A: All frames have a one year manufacturer’s warranty, and all lenses have a three month manufacturers warranty. This includes some changes that could be required for your prescription.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: We will see you immediately if we can, but it is always safest to make a booking to see the optometrist.
